Mobile Training Team and Advisors

EUCAP Sahel Mali are heading to the region of Sikasso

In the continuation of decentralised training the EUCAP Mission in favour of ISF Mali, a detachment of Mission experts travelled to Sikasso from 2 to 14 October 2016

During the fortnight, trainees of the Police, Gendarmerie and National Guard received training in the areas of Law Enforcement, Professional Intervention and Border Security.

The Mission’s advisers have launched the monitoring of the actions envisaged during the last visit in terms of consulting and project identification.

An action widely welcomed by the regional authorities who have called for renewed training of forces in the region.

In Mali, the Mission held its first training and advisory session in Sikasso region, some 250 km south of Bamako.  Over a two-week period at the start of October, personnel from the Police, the Gendarmerie and the National Guard were trained in Public Order and Border Security.
